Eight Areas of Focus
Alongside individual and group therapy, Breathe's medical team can draw on a set of biologically-informed and neuro-technological approaches used by leading recovery programmes today — always as a complement to core clinical care, never a replacement for it. Availability of each depends on individual assessment, current evidence, and Spanish medical regulation.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
A non-invasive magnetic field is used to stimulate the prefrontal cortex, the region tied to craving and impulse control. TMS has regulatory clearance for smoking cessation and is used off-label as an adjunct in some addiction and depression programmes.
Neurofeedback
Real-time monitoring of brain activity helps clients learn to self-regulate the neural patterns linked to anxiety, craving and withdrawal — a well-established, non-invasive training tool used across leading programmes.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Sessions in a pressurised oxygen chamber, used by some clinics to support neurological recovery and general physiological repair alongside core treatment.
Amino Acid & Neurotransmitter Support
Targeted amino acid therapy, sometimes delivered by IV, to help replenish the neurotransmitter precursors depleted by sustained substance use — used alongside, not instead of, therapeutic work.
Pharmacogenomic-Guided Prescribing
Where clinically appropriate, genetic testing can help the medical team anticipate how a client may respond to certain medications, reducing trial-and-error in early treatment.
Biomarker-Informed Nutrition
Bloodwork-guided nutrition plans address the deficiencies common after prolonged substance use, supporting the body's own repair alongside clinical treatment.
Wearable-Guided Recovery Tracking
Optional sleep and heart-rate-variability tracking gives the clinical team an objective, day-to-day view of how a client's nervous system is settling — and, over time, feeds early-warning indicators for relapse risk.
Ketamine- & Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy
An active area of clinical research internationally. Where a client's presentation, current evidence, and Spanish/EU regulation all permit it, these protocols are delivered only under specialist psychiatric supervision — never as a standalone or self-directed treatment.
Research collaboration: In collaboration with [Partner Institution — confirm and insert]. This line should only be published once a genuine, named research or clinical partnership is in place — we've left it as a clearly marked placeholder rather than inventing one.
Every modality above is offered subject to individual clinical assessment and applicable Spanish and EU medical regulation. None of this replaces a licensed clinician's judgement, and nothing here should be read as a guarantee of outcome.
